The mission of the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) as a nationally and internationally active research institute is to deliver solutions for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable agriculture – together with society. ZALF is a member of the Leibniz Association and is located in Müncheberg (approx. 35 minutes by regional train from Berlin-Lichtenberg). It also maintains a research station with further locations in Dedelow and Paulinenaue.
The working group of “Governance of Ecosystem Services“ has a focus on instruments and governance mechanisms for ecosystem services in consideration of the role and potential of different stakeholders with respect to their development and implementation.
The DFG-NSFC funded project “Innovation in governance of ecosystem services – improving economic instruments by result-based, cooperative and digital-driven approaches - SinoPES“ aims to develop the coordinated, efficient and sustainable management and financing mechanism for ecosystem services considering the contexts in Germany and China. Numbers of workshops and research visiting will form the main activities of the project.
In order to support the coodination, we are looking for, limited for 6 months with up to 80 h/month, at our location in Müncheberg for a
Student Assistant (m/f/d)
Diverse organizational work, e.g. workshop preparation and follow-up of working group meetings and, if applicable, social media work
Implementation of surveys and analysis of interviews
Support in preparing research results for publication
Student in economics, human geography, agricultural economics, landscape and regional planning or related fields
Interest in scientific work, maybe already some experience
Good communication skills in German and English, Chinese language as an advantage
Joy in actively working in an interdisciplinary team

Remuneration is based on the usual hourly rates for student/scientific assistants in the state of Brandenburg
