People & Cul­ture Work­ing Stu­dent

"As a Work­ing Stu­dent in the People & Cul­ture Depart­ment, within our Cul­ture & Com­munity Team, you gain hands-on exper­i­ence in office man­age­ment and well being in a fast-paced tech star­tup. As we grow, you help us ensure we con­tinue to enable amaz­ing people exper­i­ences across our teams. The Cul­ture & Com­munity team is cent­ral to our employee exper­i­ence and enables our team mem­bers to suc­ceed, ulti­mately lead­ing Blinkist to grow."

Working field:

  • Make people feel right at home at Blinkist, wel­come vis­it­ors & employ­ees, sup­port on- and off­board­ing efforts, and coordin­ate deliv­er­ies & pick-ups
  • Act as the first point of con­tact for any issues around the office. For this, you’ll cover the recep­tion
  • Be a part­ner to our Work Safety Officer to make sure we com­ply with high work safety stand­ards e.g. help organ­ising first aid courses onsite and keep work­ing equip­ment to a safe and ergo­nomic level
  • Sup­port plan­ning our vari­ous events from a Lunch BBQs on our ter­race to team events, our quarterly strategy days to our Winter & Sum­mer events all with the mis­sion to focus on fun, togeth­er­ness and a sense of com­munity and belong­ing within our unique Blinkist work cul­ture
  • Sup­port our team in cre­at­ing doc­u­ment­a­tion & present­a­tions through our vari­ous tools such as ---------Con­flu­ence, Asana, GSuite, and Miro
  • Pro­act­ively con­trib­ute to people & cul­ture pro­jects to help us embrace a hybrid work­place that encour­ages remote and phys­ical con­nec­tion between teams

Requirements:

  • Your Ger­man is at B1/B2 level and your Eng­lish is flu­ent
  • You should cur­rently be enrolled in a Mas­ter's or Bach­elor's degree pro­gram which should last for another year
  • Ini­tial exper­i­ence in pro­ject work, intern­ship, and volun­teer­ing are a great bonus
  • You are able to pro­tect con­fid­en­tial and sens­it­ive inform­a­tion
  • You are eager to famil­i­ar­ize your­self with our most used tools, includ­ing Asana, GSuite, Miro and Con­flu­ence
  • You have great atten­tion to detail and under­stand the import­ance of accur­acy. You should not be demo­tiv­ated by repet­it­ive tasks and routines in this role
  • For this role, you should live in Ber­lin, Ger­many as office attend­ance of min­imum of 2 days a week is required for the respons­ib­il­it­ies. Some mem­bers of the Blinkist team work remotely, however, we have reg­u­lar office attend­ance from our team mem­bers on-site as well.
