Sci­ence Com­mu­nic­a­tion Stu­dent Assist­ant
60-80 hours/month.

Respons­ib­il­it­ies

  • Draft and assist with writ­ing assign­ments on Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence research
  • Sup­port the cre­ation of con­tent (text, images, clips) for social media
  • Main­tain vari­ous social media chan­nels (Twit­ter, You­Tube, LinkedIn, etc.) and the CHM web­site
  • Sup­port the event organ­iz­a­tion (in-per­son, hybrid, and online) of sem­inars, work­shops, retreats, etc.
  • Con­duct online research on sci­ence-related top­ics (e.g., grant pro­grams, con­fer­ences)
  • Doc­u­ment inform­a­tion in the wiki, pre­pare present­a­tions
  • Par­ti­cip­ate in (online) meet­ings, take minutes, and main­tain digital boards

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Mas­ter's pro­gram in the fields of media or com­mu­nic­a­tion sci­ences, sci­ence com­mu­nic­a­tion or sci­ence man­age­ment
  • Good writ­ing skills in Eng­lish proven by pub­lished writ­ing samples
  • Strongly inter­ested in top­ics related to Arti­fi­cial Intel­li­gence and sci­ence
  • Exper­i­enced with social media and able to com­mu­nic­ate sci­entific top­ics in a con­cise way depend­ing on the plat­form (Twit­ter, etc.)
  • Exper­i­enced with man­aging events or pro­jects that require com­mu­nic­a­tion with out­side parties
  • Exper­i­ence with graph­ics and image edit­ing pro­grams is a plus
  • Ini­tial exper­i­ence with video or pod­cast pro­duc­tion is a plus
  • Con­fid­ent com­mand of the Eng­lish lan­guage, both writ­ten and spoken
  • High motiv­a­tion, strong com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, abil­ity to work in a team
  • Inde­pend­ent and care­ful work
