Stu­dent trans­la­tor with native-level Eng­lish (f/m)

Work­ing field:

  • Trans­la­ting Ger­man pic­ture cap­ti­ons and key­words into Eng­lish for dpa’s inter­na­tio­nal cust­o­m­ers and cli­ents and dpa Pic­ture-Alli­ance
  • Trans­la­ting and dis­tri­bu­ting the daily pre­view to dpa’s inter­na­tio­nal cust­o­m­ers and cli­ents
  • Par­ti­ci­pa­ting in the daily edi­to­rial mee­tings

Require­ments:

  • Eng­lish at native spea­ker level, with excel­lent writ­ten and spo­ken Ger­man.
  • Wide-ran­ging gene­ral know­ledge and a strong inte­rest in cur­rent news
  • Affi­nity for jour­na­li­s­tic work with a focus on photo jour­na­lism
  • Strong com­pu­ter skills, quick to mas­ter new edi­to­rial and data­base soft­ware
  • Fle­xi­ble with time, since the job invol­ves shift work inclu­ding eve­nings, weekends and holi­days
  • Enrol­led as a full-time stu­dent at a Ger­man uni­ver­sity
  • Ger­man work per­mit (should come with the enroll­ment as a full-time stu­dent)
