The TU Dresden is one of eleven German universities that were identified as an “excellence university”. TUD has about 36.500 students and almost 5319 employees, 507 professors among them, and, thus, is the largest university in Saxony, today.
Having been committed to sciences and the engineering before the reunification of Germany, TU Dresden now is a multi-discipline university, also offering humanities and social sciences as well as medicine.
Working field:
Independent work on research towards the investigation of receptors for a binding and extraction of anions and metal salts; chemical characterizations of the obtained products; performance of liquid-liquid extraction and stripping studies; operation and optimization of a mixer-settler mini-plant; performance of tracer experiments; preparation of process specifications for the executed topics.
Requirements:
university degree (Master or equivalent) in chemistry; an integrative and cooperative personality with high teamwork abilities, self-motivation skills and organizational talent; interest in application-oriented chemical research; deep knowledge in inorganic-industrial chemistry and coordination chemistry, preferably knowledge of liquid-liquid extraction processes; willingness for several months research stay at the project partner institute outside Europe; PC, Microsoft Office and chemical software handling knowledge.
