research within the Einstein Visiting Fellowship Group of Prof. Peter Schroeder dedicated to geometric and physical modeling in computer graphics
emphasis on discrete algorithms which preserve underlying smooth structures
successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in Computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or physics
successful research demonstrated through internationally recognized publications or in conferences
successful numerical implementations of algorithms from geometric and physical modeling
in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following areas is required: numerical analysis, differential geometry, graph theory, signal processing, solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, electro magnetism, quantum mechanics
The working language of the research group is English.
