Work­ing field:

  • research within the Ein­stein Vis­it­ing Fel­low­ship Group of Prof. Peter Schroeder ded­ic­ated to geo­met­ric and phys­ical mod­el­ing in com­puter graph­ics
  • emphasis on dis­crete algorithms which pre­serve under­ly­ing smooth struc­tures


  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and PhD in Com­puter sci­ence, elec­trical engin­eer­ing, math­em­at­ics or phys­ics
  • suc­cess­ful research demon­strated through inter­na­tion­ally recog­nized pub­lic­a­tions or in con­fer­ences
  • suc­cess­ful numer­ical imple­ment­a­tions of algorithms from geo­met­ric and phys­ical mod­el­ing
  • in-depth know­ledge in one or more of the fol­low­ing areas is required: numer­ical ana­lysis, dif­fer­en­tial geo­metry, graph the­ory, sig­nal pro­cessing, solid mech­an­ics, fluid dynam­ics, elec­tro mag­net­ism, quantum mech­an­ics
