Student Assistant 80 h/month
Simulation and experimental work
— Assistance in the preparation and execution of experiments in the high-power laser beam welding
with external magnetic field
— Assistance in the related multi-physical simulation works (CFD and MHD)
— Visualization, evaluation and analysis of the results
— Literature research on current topics in welding technology
— Study experience of several semesters in the fields of Physical Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Material science or comparable
— Very good basic knowledge in fluid mechanics. Knowledge in magnetohydrodynamic will be an
— Experience in the modelling and simulation of physical phenomena with the finite volume method
(FVM) or finite element method (FEM)
— Programming skill (C language, Python or MATLAB) is an advantage
