As a Work­ing Stu­dent for Events & Com­mu­nic­a­tion (part-time), your primary mis­sion is to sup­port the plan­ning and imple­ment­a­tion of Lake­star’s com­munity events & pro­grams with our thriv­ing net­work of Star­tup Founders, Entre­pren­eurs, Investors, and Tech Advisors. Events & pro­grams include ‘external events” across Europe & US such as tech con­fer­ences, key­notes, sea­sonal retreats, annual meet­ings, lec­tures, roundtables, sec­tor-focused din­ners & gath­er­ings, etc. and ‘internal events’ such as team meet­ings, team retreats etc. You will also sup­port our com­mu­nic­a­tion activ­it­ies by help­ing craft and dis­trib­ute con­tent on social media, news­let­ter, web­site, etc. You will be based in Ber­lin, Ger­many and work closely with our inter­na­tional mar­ket­ing team.

This is an incred­ible oppor­tun­ity for someone who wants to explore the European tech eco­sys­tem and state-of-the-art mar­ket­ing ini­ti­at­ives with the VC sec­tor.

Your respons­ib­il­it­ies will include:

• Sup­port full event man­age­ment includ­ing, venue sourcing, event pro­pos­als, con­tract man­age­ment, internal and external invit­a­tion pro­cess and event com­mu­nic­a­tions, event logist­ics, sup­plier man­age­ment, budget man­age­ment and event recon­cili­ation

• Handle logist­ics and exe­cu­tion for a wide range of events across Europe & US throughout the year

• Help identify, engage with and man­age high-qual­ity ven­ues and sup­pli­ers across the spec­trum, to ensure effect­ive and cost-effect­ive deliv­ery of events

• Work with our Invest­ment, Mar­ket­ing, and Investor Rela­tions teams to craft events and pro­grams spe­cific to their needs

• You help craft our reg­u­lar social media posts and you sup­port with cre­at­ing the con­tent for our news­let­ter, press releases and web­site updates
