Work­ing field:

Sci­entific ser­vice in teach­ing and research in the field of eco­no­met­rics; plan­ning and teach­ing of under­gradu­ate and gradu­ate stu­dent courses (BA, MA and PhD courses) in the field of applied and the­or­et­ical eco­no­met­rics in Ger­man and Eng­lish; par­ti­cip­a­tion in the organ­iz­a­tion of the MA pro­gram stat­ist­ics; coun­sel­ing of stu­dents as well as super­vi­sion of Bach­elor and Mas­ter theses

Require­ments:

  • Com­pleted uni­versity degree and PhD in eco­nom­ics, stat­ist­ics or math­em­at­ics or a related field with spe­cial­iz­a­tion in eco­no­met­rics/stat­ist­ics
  • at least three years of aca­demic or pro­fes­sional prac­tical work in a full-time employ­ment rela­tion­ship after gradu­ation
  • a strong back­ground in the fol­low­ing fields: time series ana­lysis or microe­co­nom­ics
  • sub­stan­tial know­ledge of the soft­ware R and Stata
  • exper­i­ence in aca­demic teach­ing, coun­sel­ing and super­vi­sion of stu­dents
  • pub­lic­a­tions in rel­ev­ant journ­als
  • very good Ger­man and Eng­lish skills (oral and writ­ten)
  • struc­tured, inde­pend­ent, com­mu­nic­at­ive and cooper­at­ive work style, highly motiv­ated
  • act­ive par­ti­cip­a­tion in uni­versity devel­op­ment pro­cesses
