Stu­dent Assi­stant (m/f/d)

Work­ing field:

The stu­dent assi­stant will sup­port Depart­ment 3’s publi­ca­tion office. Her/his tasks range from assis­ting with edi­to­rial work on sci­en­ti­fic texts (espe­ci­ally in Eng­lish, Ger­man, and/or Chi­nese), to sup­por­ting pro­ject mem­bers with the orga­ni­za­tion of sci­en­ti­fic events, the main­ten­ance and updating of the depart­ment web­site, and hel­ping to main­tain data­ba­ses, refe­rence manage­ment soft­ware as well as digi­tal repo­si­to­ries.

Require­ments:

Native Eng­lish speakers with a good com­mand of Ger­man and native Ger­man speakers with a good com­mand of Eng­lish are encou­ra­ged to apply. Fami­lia­rity with the Chi­nese lan­guage is con­si­de­red an advan­tage. App­li­cants must be enrol­led at a uni­ver­sity in Ber­lin or Bran­den­burg, and those wit­hout a bache­lor’s degree should be in at least their third semes­ter of study. They should have a good working know­ledge of modern infor­ma­tion tech­no­logy and the abi­lity to work both inde­pendently and in a team.

What we of­fer:

The hourly rate is cal­cu­la­ted accord­ing to the Max Planck Society’s pro­gram to sup­port junior scho­l­ars, 12,00 € for bache­lor’s stu­dents, 13,95 € for stu­dents enrol­led in a mas­ter’s pro­gram who already hold a bache­lor’s degree.
