What do we do?
We dis­tri­bute music from inde­pen­dent artists and labels to hund­reds of music plat­forms like iTu­nes, Spo­tify, Ama­zon, Deezer or Beat­port.
Our Ber­lin office is the hub for our Mar­ke­ting and Custo­mer Sup­port Teams, working with our inter­na­tio­nal team in Zurich, we are gro­wing rapidly.

Junior Con­tent Editor & Writer (Work­ing Stu­dent)

We are offer­ing an excit­ing job oppor­tun­ity for a stu­dent who wants to become a mar­ket­ing pro­fes­sional and who wants to help musi­cians reach their audi­ence.
iMusi­cian is seek­ing a work­ing stu­dent as Junior Con­tent Editor & Writer respons­ible for craft­ing copy across a vari­ety of deliv­er­ables and chan­nels. The can­did­ate will sup­port our Per­form­ance Edit­or­ial Lead in provid­ing con­tent deliv­er­ables, optim­iz­ing cur­rent and future con­tent and cur­at­ing iMusi­cian’s playl­ists on Spo­tify, Deezer etc.

The ideal can­did­ate is a mas­ter of let­ters and obsessed with find­ing the most pre­cise and optim­ized words that inform, inspire, and help our artists and labels build their careers. You have a heightened sense of empathy and can mod­u­late your per­spect­ive appro­pri­ately to acco­mod­ate any con­fig­ur­a­tion of medium, chan­nel and audi­ence in order to cre­ate pro­foundly com­pel­ling copy.

Suc­cess in this role requires uphold­ing high (data-led) con­tent stand­ards and apply­ing best prac­tices across all areas of Mar­ket­ing. You’ll be respons­ible for cham­pi­on­ing great con­tent within the com­pany through updat­ing our style guide or keyword and con­tent research. You’ll also be edit­ing copy from all areas of the busi­ness, from new products and cus­tomer com­mu­nic­a­tions to guides and blog art­icles for artists and labels.

Main Respons­ib­il­it­ies
  • Write effect­ive and com­pel­ling copy across a range of digital mar­ket­ing deliv­er­ables includ­ing land­ing pages, emails, blogs, social, and guides
  • Dis­till value pro­pos­i­tions and tailor mes­saging to a vari­ety of audi­ence seg­ments
  • Work closely with our Per­form­ance Edit­or­ial Lead on man­aging con­tent deliv­er­ables to ensure con­sist­ent qual­ity across the plat­form and optim­ize cur­rent and future deliv­er­ables based on data-informed learn­ings (SEO)
  • Ensure all con­tent’s com­pli­ance with our mes­saging and ton­al­ity guidelines
  • Define and adapt digital com­mu­nic­a­tions accord­ing to insights such as SEO data and a/b tests
  • Affin­ity for music and dis­cov­er­ing new tal­ent for playl­ist cur­a­tion (Mainly Elec­tronic/ Rap/ Hip-Hop/ Altern­at­ive but any musical niche is rel­ev­ant)


  • Stu­dent in the areas of com­mu­nic­a­tions, journ­al­ism, media or sim­ilar stud­ies with strong com­mu­nic­a­tion skills based in Ber­lin
  • Affin­ity/ini­tial exper­i­ence in copy­writ­ing or digital mar­ket­ing in advert­ising, music and enter­tain­ment, or soft­ware and tech­no­logy
  • Com­fort in nav­ig­at­ing ambi­gu­ity and shift­ing pri­or­it­ies
  • Strong organ­iz­a­tional abil­ity and atten­tion to detail
  • Strong pas­sion for music
  • While not a require­ment, know­ledge and under­stand­ing of the music industry, digital media land­scape, and music dis­tri­bu­tion is a plus
  • Nat­ive Eng­lish OR Ger­man OR French lan­guage skills
  • Work pro­fi­ciency in Eng­lish
