What do we do?
We distribute music from independent artists and labels to hundreds of music platforms like iTunes, Spotify, Amazon, Deezer or Beatport.

We are offering an exciting job opportunity for a student who wants to become a marketing professional and who wants to help musicians reach their audience.
iMusician is seeking a working student as Junior Content Editor & Writer responsible for crafting copy across a variety of deliverables and channels. The candidate will support our Performance Editorial Lead in providing content deliverables, optimizing current and future content and curating iMusician’s playlists on Spotify, Deezer etc.
The ideal candidate is a master of letters and obsessed with finding the most precise and optimized words that inform, inspire, and help our artists and labels build their careers. You have a heightened sense of empathy and can modulate your perspective appropriately to accomodate any configuration of medium, channel and audience in order to create profoundly compelling copy.
Success in this role requires upholding high (data-led) content standards and applying best practices across all areas of Marketing. You’ll be responsible for championing great content within the company through updating our style guide or keyword and content research. You’ll also be editing copy from all areas of the business, from new products and customer communications to guides and blog articles for artists and labels.
Write effective and compelling copy across a range of digital marketing deliverables including landing pages, emails, blogs, social, and guides
Distill value propositions and tailor messaging to a variety of audience segments
Work closely with our Performance Editorial Lead on managing content deliverables to ensure consistent quality across the platform and optimize current and future deliverables based on data-informed learnings (SEO)
Ensure all content’s compliance with our messaging and tonality guidelines
Define and adapt digital communications according to insights such as SEO data and a/b tests
Affinity for music and discovering new talent for playlist curation (Mainly Electronic/ Rap/ Hip-Hop/ Alternative but any musical niche is relevant)
Student in the areas of communications, journalism, media or similar studies with strong communication skills based in Berlin
Affinity/initial experience in copywriting or digital marketing in advertising, music and entertainment, or software and technology
Comfort in navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
Strong passion for music
While not a requirement, knowledge and understanding of the music industry, digital media landscape, and music distribution is a plus
Native English OR German OR French language skills
Work proficiency in English
