Working field:

  • Participation in the research project IDunion ( in the area of secure and trusted digital identities. Adjacent research areas are blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) as the key technologies for the realization of self-sovereign identity (SSI) paradigms
  • Participation in national as well as international workgroups to design and standardize SSI components
  • Mentoring of student workers and project related student theses
  • Possibility of writing a doctoral dissertation

Further information about the chair at


  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or a related field
  • Experience with distributed systems, middleware and database technologies
  • Programming experience in at least one programming language, such as Kotlin, Java or JavaScript
  • First experiences with distributed ledger technologies (e.g. Hyperledger, Ethereum or similar)
  • Very good skills of abstraction, modelling, and finding creative solutions
  • Goal-oriented and self-organized work attitude
  • Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
