Project work in the DFG-funded project „Functionalisation of Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) by Means of Self-Assembly”. In this project the self-assembly of surfactants and amphiphilic copolymers in Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES) will be studied and how it controls the properties of the system. The focus will be on investigating fully biocompatible DES and the use of biosurfactants and –polymers. A central property here is the rheological behaviour of the systems and their mesoscopic structure, which will be studied by means of static and dynamic light scattering (SLS, DLS), x-ray and neutron small-angle neutron scattering (SAXS, SANS), and fluorescence measurements. PhD thesis preparation is possible.
