Research Assistant - 0.5 working time - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

Working field:

Participation in teaching and research in the area of Biological Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, particularly in the area of the characterization of the mode-of-action of antiviral and antibacterial drugs for the treatment of infectious diseases, as well as the investigation of the biosynthesis and the discovery of resistance factors against antibiotics.
Application and use of methods of assay-development and biochemical analytics (HPLC-ESI- and MALDI-mass spectrometry, multidimensional NMR spectroscopy, CD spectroscopy) and peptide synthesis.

Requirements:

Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry, life sciences or related disciplines; good command of German and/or English required, sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
