Working field:

Collaboration in the IDunion research project ( in the areas of secure and trustworthy digital identities. The postholder's research will focus on distributed ledger technologies (DLT) as a foundation for implementing paradigms for self-sovereign identities (SSI). Collaboration in national and international working groups to design and standardize SSI components. Development and implementation of use cases in the following areas: student lifecycle, identity and access management (IAM), mobility and interoperability. This position offers candidates the possibility to pursue a doctorate.


  • a successfully completed higher university degree (master's, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or applied computer science
  • excellent knowledge and practical experience in the fields of distributed systems as well as identity and access management infrastructures
  • experience of developing web-based and mobile applications
  • basic knowledge of distributed ledger technologies
  • ability to work independently and a high sense of personal responsibility
  • teamwork skills and flexibility
  • good communication skills and very good knowledge of German and English
  • commitment and willingness to work including flexible working hours
