Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

under the reserve that funds are granted; part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

Participation in research related to: Computer Networks (with special focus on wireless networks) and Distributed Systems in the research project: DyMoNet: Dynamic Mobile Networks.
PhD thesis preparation is possible.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed a research-oriented university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or in a related area
  • Strong expertise in Computer Networks and Distributed Systems
  • Strong programming skills (C, C++, Python)
  • Strong mathematical background
  • Teaching skill
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; German knowledge would be preferable.
  • Enthusiasm for leading-edge re- search, a mix of creativity and persistence, and team spirit are essential
