Technische Universität Berlin is currently advertising the following position(s):

Student assistant (80 hours per month)

Working field:

  1. Extended Reality Development: Support the Didymos-XR project by contributing to the design and development of XR environments using state-of-the-art technologies (e.g., Unity) for immersive user experiences. Participate in the creation of virtual and augmented reality applications developed by the chair to enhance digital twin simulations (70%).
  2. User Experience (UX) Optimization: Assist in the evaluation and improvement of user interaction with XR environments. Apply UX principles to ensure intuitive design and usability, utilizing user studies and feedback to refine XR interfaces and interactions (20%).
  3. Visualization and Communication: Assist in the development of intuitive dashboards and reporting tools to effectively communicate project results and scientific findings to both technical and non-technical audiences (10%).



  • Experience with (or interest in) performing user studies (from design principles to analysis),
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills


  • Experience working with (or interest in) XR/VR/AR technologies (Unity), creating digital twins and/or 3D modeling tools
  • Collaborative and creative thinking
  • strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts and project developments effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
