Research Training Group 1672 “Innovation Society Today: The Reflexive Creation of Novelty”
part-time employment may be possible
The position involves organizational tasks related to the advancement of theory and methodology in innovation research. The holder is further to pursue a research project (postdoc) of her or his own related to the topic of the research training group (RTG) for the purpose of habilitation or otherwise acquiring the qualification necessary for appointment to a tenured professorship; participate in designing and implementing the research training group’s study program; conduct seminars as part of the elective program; support and mentor the RTG’s doctoral candidates; participate in developing an “innovation society” working group to advance the innovation society thesis; participate in integrating the RTG’s various activities and projects and coordinating the “Innovation Society” working group; and assist in matters related to quality assurance and evaluation of the RTG.
The applicant is required to have successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in sociology or another social science with a dissertation related to the topic of the RTG; a pronounced interest that is reflected in previous publications; experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and university-level teaching; excellent knowledge of the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovation research; and proficiency in German.
