Werkstudent Events & Communication
As a Working Student for Events & Communication (part-time), your primary mission is to support the planning and implementation of Lakestar’s community events & programs with our thriving network of Startup Founders, Entrepreneurs, Investors, and Tech Advisors. Events & programs include ‘external events” across Europe & US such as tech conferences, keynotes, seasonal retreats, annual meetings, lectures, roundtables, sector-focused dinners & gatherings, etc. and ‘internal events’ such as team meetings, team retreats etc. You will also support our communication activities by helping craft and distribute content on social media, newsletter, website, etc. You will be based in Berlin, Germany and work closely with our international marketing team.
This is an incredible opportunity for someone who wants to explore the European tech ecosystem and state-of-the-art marketing initiatives with the VC sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
Support full event management including, venue sourcing, event proposals, contract management, internal and external invitation process and event communications, event logistics, supplier management, budget management and event reconciliation
Handle logistics and execution for a wide range of events across Europe & US throughout the year
Help identify, engage with and manage high-quality venues and suppliers across the spectrum, to ensure effective and cost-effective delivery of events
Work with our Investment, Marketing, and Investor Relations teams to craft events and programs specific to their needs
You help craft our regular social media posts and you support with creating the content for our newsletter, press releases and website updates
Must be a bachelor’s or master’s student available/eligible to work between16 and 20 hours per week for at least one year
Passionate about startups and the technology world
Proven ability to work independently, being proactive, handle priorities
Tech-savvy, you are a confident software use and have a keen eye for design (though no formal design skills necessary)
Fluent in English is a must and any additional language is a plus
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
You feel comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment.
You are a team-player with high standards of professional and ethical conduct
