TMG Research gGmbH is currently looking for an Intern (f/m/x) to support TMG Research’s new work applied research programme on urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA). The programme is a response to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on urban and peri-urban food systems. Physical distancing measures hit the informal sector particularly hard, food access has become a tremendous challenge for many poor households. Current investments to meliorate the impact of the pandemic offer the opportunity to also use them to make urban and peri-urban food systems more sustainable and inclusive. Work on external risks including a focus on locusts will add to the project´s work on resilience.

This project is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Our work programmes focus on human rights-based land governance, sustainability transformations of our food systems, and ocean governance. Digitalization and sustainability governance are cross-cutting themes. TMG Research is a member of the Think Sustainable Europe network of European Sustainability Think Tanks.
