Open Source Developer for Digital Scientific Infrastructures (m/f/d)
to work in the Lab Group Open Research Information within the Open Science Lab (OSL) at the earliest possible opportunity.
The position is limited to the duration of the project (FID Materials Science) and ends on 14th May 2027. The regular weekly working time is 39.8 hours (full-time). The position is generally suitable for part-time work. The remuneration is based on pay scale group 13 TV-L.
Your challenge
The Lab Group Open Research Information of the TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library aims to make information about research activities interoperable, findable, reusable and accessible in open infrastructures. It promotes the development towards digital, open and collaborative science and supports scientific institutions and communities by working with them to develop and test methods and software tools that are useful for research activities. We are looking for a communicative and entrepreneurial person with a strong technical background to expand the Open Science Lab activities in the field of open research information.
The work will focus on the design, development and operation of a database for materials testing equipment based on the open source software VIVO as part of a specialised information service (FID) for the fields of materials science and materials engineering (FID Materials Science) funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The database serves as a verification, presentation and research tool for information on test equipment and is intended to facilitate collaborations between researchers and scientific institutions.
