Work­ing field:

Fun­da­mental research in the field of the­or­et­ical phys­ics of ultra­fast non­lin­ear optics and plas­mon­ics, par­ti­cip­a­tion in the DFG-pro­ject "Act­ive plas­mon­ics with strong THz fields" in the research group of Prof. Andreas Knorr and Dr. Malte Selig.


Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­loma or equi­val­ent) in phys­ics or a related field; very good know­ledge in the­or­et­ical phys­ics, in par­tic­u­lar in the the­ory of the optical response and excit­a­tion dynam­ics of nano­struc­tured mater­i­als, spe­cific­ally metal nano particles. Exper­i­ence in the self-con­sist­ent mod­el­ing of micro­scopic Max­well-Bloch equa­tions. Very good know­ledge of the Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage, high level of com­mit­ment and abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently. Didactical exper­i­ence and good pro­gram­ming skills (C, related libar­ies) are neces­sary.
