Fundamental research in the field of theoretical physics of ultrafast nonlinear optics and plasmonics, participation in the DFG-project "Active plasmonics with strong THz fields" in the research group of Prof. Andreas Knorr and Dr. Malte Selig.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in physics or a related field; very good knowledge in theoretical physics, in particular in the theory of the optical response and excitation dynamics of nanostructured materials, specifically metal nano particles. Experience in the self-consistent modeling of microscopic Maxwell-Bloch equations. Very good knowledge of the German and English language, high level of commitment and ability to work independently. Didactical experience and good programming skills (C, related libaries) are necessary.
