The Char­ité - Uni­versitätsmed­izin Ber­lin is a joint med­ical fac­ulty, which serves both Freie Uni­versität Ber­lin and Hum­boldt Uni­versität zu Ber­lin. As one of the largest uni­versity hos­pit­als in Europe with an import­ant his­tory, it plays a lead­ing role in research, teach­ing and clin­ical care. The Char­ité uni­versity hos­pital has also made a name for itself as a mod­ern busi­ness with cer­ti­fic­a­tions in the med­ical, clin­ical and man­age­ment fields.

Postdoc pos­i­tion

DFG-fun­ded postdoc­toral pos­i­tion in Neuroima­ging in con­text of deep brain stim­u­la­tion / neur­omod­u­la­tion - Char­ité Cam­pus Mitte

Work­ing field:

  • Work on sci­entific pro­jects in the con­text of deep brain stim­u­la­tion and neuroima­ging
  • Co-devel­op­ment of sci­entific research soft­ware ( in an inter­dis­cip­lin­ary team
  • Co-super­vi­sion of doc­toral stu­dents

Sci­entific staff is given suf­fi­cient time to carry out their own sci­entific work in accord­ance with their employ­ment rela­tion­ship.


  • Exper­i­ence in neuroima­ging (e.g. rs-fMRI, dMRI/DTI) pro­cessing
  • Exper­i­ence in pro­gram­ming (e.g. Mat­lab, Python, R)
  • Interest in neur­omod­u­la­tion and deep brain stim­u­la­tion
  • Interest in work­ing col­lab­or­at­ively as a team
  • Interest in con­trib­ut­ing to open source soft­ware and open sci­ence
