The project position is offered in the DFG third-party funded project "The Influence of Inhibition Strength on Self-Control: When, When Not and How?” starting as soon as possible, limited for 2 years with 65% of the regular weekly working hours. The period of employment is governed by § 2 (2) Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).
The DFG project aims at investigating an emerging conceptual analysis of behavioral restraint. Through a focus on restraint intensity-related cardiovascular responses, this analysis aims to reimagine fatigue’s influence on restraint performance as multi-faceted instead of the traditional view of fatigue having a direct effect on restraint performance. The project will examine the effects that perception of fatigue, external incentives and training have on the relationship between fatigue and restraint intensity-related cardiovascular response. The aim of the project is to replicate and extend the initial support found for the conceptual analysis.
