Hasso Plattner ist Mit(be)gründer von SAP, einem Unternehmen für Firmensoftware, dessen Aufsichtsrat er seit 2003 vorsteht. In 1989 gründete er das Hasso Plattner Institut für Digitaltechnik (HPI) in Potsdam als seinen ersten bedeutenden philanthropischen Beitrag. Nach der Mitunterzeichnung des Giving Pledge (eine Initiative von Bill und Melinda Gates und Warren Buffet), gründete Hasso Plattner im Jahr 2015 die Hasso Plattner Foundation, um die Initiativen im Bereich Wissenschaft und Bildung zu vergrößern und neue Initiativen in anderen strategischen Bereichen zu verfolgen. Das Hauptbüro der Hasso Plattner Stiftung befindet sich in Potsdam. Wir haben darüber hinaus Büros in San Francisco und Kapstadt.

Working field:

The charitable Hasso Plattner Foundation aims to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies through science and education, improve access to art and culture, and support environmental conservation. Hasso Plattner is one of the founders of SAP, an enterprise software company, and has been chairman of its supervisory board since 2003. After signing the Giving Pledge (initiated by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet), he established the Hasso Plattner Foundation in 2015.
 
The endowment of the Hasso Plattner Foundation is managed by its investment team – with the ultimate goal of funding existing and new philanthropic initiatives of the Hasso Plattner Foundation. The investment team aims to generate high, risk-adjusted returns and invest capital in global public equities, leveraged buyouts, venture and growth capital, hedge funds and real assets. It invests with trusted external partners and selectively via direct ownership of businesses, especially in enterprise software and digital health.

This role is based in Hasso Plattner Foundation's main office in Potsdam, Germany.

Requirements:

The Position:
As a Working Student – People & Organization, you will be an integral part of the P&O team of one of the largest, private charitable foundation in Germany. You will work closely on different short- and long-term projects that support our mission to attract, develop, and retain top talent. You will help us on operational tasks related to the entire employee lifecycle. Additionally, you will support some projects linked to Learning & Development.   
 
As part of a dynamic and ambitious team, you will be mentored and we'll find a set-up mindful of your university schedule.
 
Your responsibilities:

Talent acquisition:

  • Coordinate recruiting pipelines including candidate follow-up, interview scheduling and pre-boarding activities
  • Ensure data accuracy and process efficiency in our HRIS (SAP SuccessFactors)

Learning & Development (L&D):

  • Support internal communications & preparation of L&D initiatives (i.e. trainings, team-buildings, workshops, etc)
  • Support our 360° feedback cycle by coordinating timelines and ensuring smooth implementation
  • Track, analyze and report training metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of learning initiatives

Workplace Support & Event Management:

  • Handle day-to-day office tasks and support internal event management to create a productive and enjoyable work environment
  • Assist with workplace facilities to ensure operational efficiency

Applicants need:

  • To be a bachelor's or master's student in Psychology, Human Resources, Economics or Social Sciences, or related studies.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid analytical skills and a structured working style with attention to detail
  • Interest in HR is a must, prior industry experience is not. A basic understanding of HR theory is beneficial but not required.
  • Fluency in English and B2 level of German is required, other languages are a plus.
  • To be available for at least 6 months in a working student position at 20 hours per week
