Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:
As a part of the cluster of excellence Science of Intelligence our interdisciplinary team investigates the intelligent behavior of mice when solving mechanical puzzles (so called lock boxes). For a better understanding of their actions, advanced computer vision methods are employed (for more information visit https://www.scienceofintelligence.de/research-projects/project_46/). We are looking for motivated student assistants to help us in our research work.
This encompasses the processing of large amounts of picture and video data (25%), support with implementation of computer vision and deep learning algorythms using the Python programming language (40%) and manual annotation of image data (35%).
Must:
Good programming skills with Python (object oriented programming); basic knowledge of digital image processing (e.g. cropping, change of color space, scaling) using programming; good written and spoken command of English; knowledge of Deep Learning.
Can:
Good command of the python packages Tensorflow and panda; first hand experience of training CNN models; good command of the version control system git; experience in processing of image data; experience in processing large data sets; basic knowledge of keypoint detection in computer vision; willingness to gain new knowledge and skills; ability to use Linux systems; experience with programming projects in a team, ability to work in a team.
