Technische Universität Berlin offers an open position:
part-time employment may be possible
The position is advertised as part of the interdisciplinary research project “The Capital’s Shadow: Wealth Concentration in Startup Ecosystems”, which is funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. The research project is located at the interface of sociology and entrepreneurship research. From an inequality theory perspective, the involvement of the wealth elite with startup ecosystems is to be examined multidimensionally. The aim is to understand the mechanisms of opportunity hoarding and the associated effects on the startup ecosystem in terms of innovation, social permeability and prosperity. To this end, a comparative ethnography of the startup ecosystems in Paris and Berlin will be conducted. The research results will not only be prepared for an academic audience, but also the dialog with stakeholders of the startup ecosystem and policy makers will be sought through policy briefs and roundtable discussions.
