Your responsibility:

Design of so-called Root-of-Trust elements (circuits for security applications), among these circuits for the generation of Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and true random number generators (TRNGs), using a 130 nm and optionally further CMOS technologies. After fabrication experimental characterization and evaluation of their performance.

Your profile:

  • successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a comparable study programme
  • experience concerning the design of lntegrated Circuits
  • background concerning the use of design software for lntegrated Circuits
  • good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
  • experience concerning the use of layout software for lntegrated Circuits is an advantage
  • background concerning the application of metrics to evaluate Root-of-Trust elements is desirable
