Research Associate

Your responsibilities:

Research in the field of quantum cryptography

  • Development of quantum internet applications
  • Simulation of communication protocols
  • Research into hardware-related error models and security analysis of hardware-specific
    vulnerabilities
  • Close collaboration with the Use Case Team of the Quantum Internet Alliance
  • Organisation of outreach activities such as workshops and public events

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) and PhD in
    physics, mathematics or computer science
  • Good language skills in German and/or English are required; willingness to acquire all missing language skills
  • Basic knowledge of quantum information theory
  • Experience in the Python programming language
  • Knowledge of LaTeX
  • Knowledge of quantum communication protocols with respect to multipartite entanglement
    distribution strategies, the characterization of quantum networks, to (anonymous) conference key
    agreement and to secret sharing
  • Experience with the simulation of corresponding communication protocols is desirable
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for workshops and conferences is desirable
  • Ability to work in a team is desirable
