A diverse range of research questions emerges from this dynamic field—for example, concerning digital sustainability, the transformation of digital work through AI, or the development of sovereign digital infrastructures for secure data exchange. The professorship primarily focuses on applied research questions in industrial contexts. In this regard, industrial companies serve not only as subjects of research but also as essential collaborative partners in the development of data-driven innovations. The insights gained from these projects are continuously published in international academic literature, thereby making a direct contribution to the digital transformation of business and society.
